SAMI Klyon Proves Effective against Drones
JSC “ALEVKURP”, in cooperation with defence industry companies, have performed trials of the Klyon short-range surveillance radar. The radar proved capable of effectively detecting small-sized unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
The surveillance targets were quadcopter drones of different sizes and from different manufacturers, including drones widely used in armed conflicts.
All of them were successfully detected. Thus, the Klyon radar proved its effectiveness in tracking targets not only on the ground, but also in the air.
As part of the joint testing activity, the company’s experts also considered the possibility of using the radar assets designed by JSC “ALEVKURP” in the mobile system used to counter small-sized UAVs
