JSC «KB Radar» is developing the range of counter-UAV systems.

JSC «KB Radar» – Managing Company of «Radar Systems» Holding is a leading company in production of EW systems in our country. Taking into consideration the current threats, JSC «KB Radar» is constantly working on improving the existing systems and development of new systems capable to perform countermeasures against air threats, including the use of the latest technologies, such as AI.
JSC «KB Radar» has finalized the development of upgrade kit for stationary counter-UAV system Groza-Z2.
The new solution significantly widens frequency ranges for UAV detection and jamming and it also includes neural-network algorithms for precise UAVs recognition and identification.

Key improvements:
•    Artificial intelligence – increases efficiency of UAVs detection and classification;
•    Jamming of navigation systems – blocking GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou and Galileo for UAVs deception.
In the near future, the upgraded counter-UAV system Groza-Z2 will be presented to customers.

Fumigator-P (portable) and Fumigator-T (transportable) multicopter control and navigation signal blockers are an up-to-date solution developed based on real combat actions which are planned to be produced in series.
Both systems are based on modules: each transmitter jams a specific frequency range, ensuring maximum radio jamming range. This design allows for flexible placement of jammers – on equipment, stationary objects or as part of mobile groups, adapting to specific tasks.
Fumigator-P (portable) (12 blockers) protects personnel from attacks by multicopters and FPV drones by jamming their control, data transmission and navigation channels. It is battery-powered, ensuring autonomous operation in field conditions.
Fumigator-T (transportable) (14 blockers) is designed to protect equipment (vehicles, armoured vehicles) and stationary objects from combat use of multicopters and FPV drones, including by jamming control, data transmission and navigation signals. It is powered by the onboard network, ensuring continuous counteraction against UAVs.

Key advantages:
•  high efficiency – long range jamming of control, data transmission and navigation channels;
•  all-purpose – protection of both mobile and stationary objects;
•  autonomous operation – powered by a battery or on-board network;
•  easy operation – convenient to deploy and operate.

Production of the updated Groza-R5 radio-electronic counter-UAV gun continues. The gun detects, performs direction finding and jams UAVs by radio jamming of control channels, data transmission and navigation equipment of GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou and Galileo systems.
The main advantage of the Groza-R5 is its radio frequency detection capability, which allows it to track UAVs even in limited visibility conditions. The gun kit includes a portable multicopter detector called Zvonok, which warns an operator about the threat in the air and the need to use the gun and counteract the intruding UAV.
As part of the ongoing improvement of the product, its operating frequencies have been supplemented with 430 MHz range, which has expanded the capabilities for detection and radio jamming of modern UAVs.
The gun is known for its reliable detection and radio jamming, accurate direction finding, as well as its simple and convenient operation.
Another development by JSC «KB Radar» is Shapel multicopter detector/direction finder. The product provides recognition, monitoring and direction finding of UAVs based on telemetry and video transmission signals.
Given the relevant threats posed by FPV drones, Shapel multicopter detector/direction finder is equipped with hardware that not only signals the approach of an FPV drone, but also displays intercepted video from its onboard camera on the screen. Thus, Shapel direction finder operator sees the same video as the FPV drone operator, which allows them to take timely actions to protect themselves from an approaching threat.

Advantages of Shapel system:
•    detection, direction finding and recognition of UAVs;
•    display of intercepted FPV drone video streams on the control panel;
•    remote control of the system using a tablet connected via Ethernet;
•    compactness and easy operation.

Shapel both detects, tracks UAVs and intercepts video streams in real time, which significantly increases effectiveness of counteractions against threatening UAVs.

Dronescope system is designed to detect and identify multicopters and track their movements on a terrain map based on the analysis of emitted radio signals.
The advantages of Dronescope system are:
• detection, recognition and identification of multicopters manufactured by Autel and DJI, including those with modified software;
•   detection and identification of multicopters with a control system based on Wi-Fi protocols;
•    detection of FPV multicopters with analogue video transmission system;
•  display of the detected multicopters and location of their operators on a map;
•    compactness and easy operation.

AERO VHF radio monitoring and radio jamming system detects and jams control and navigation channels of multicopter and glider-type UAVs. It is also capable of spoofing satellite navigation system receivers. In addition to its main functions, the system is equipped with a radar for detecting UAVs flying in radio silence mode.

Key advantages of AERO system:
-    wide frequency range – from 100 to 6000 MHz;
-    long range:
•    UAV detection and direction finding – up to 50 km;
•    radio jamming – up to 40 km;
•    radar detection of small UAVs – up to 20 km (depending on the target RCS).
-    positioning (loitering) of UAVs when working jointly with radio direction finders;
-    detection of UAVs in radio silence mode due to the built-in radar;
-    operation flexibility:
•    autonomous operation;
•    pair operation (“master-slave”);
•  integration into Voronovo system under control of Berezina command post.
