The first combat launches from the Pechora air defence missile system (ADMS), modernised with the direct participation of ALEVKURP JSC, were successfully carried out on the territory of another foreign customer. The product underwent renovation through the delivery of a modernisation kit and the performance of work by ALEVKURP JSC specialists on the customer’s territory, with their participation.
The modernisation kit is a set of radio-technical devices and units installed on the ADMS during its modernisation. The devices included in the kit are interconnected with each other and with equipment that is not replaced during modernisation, forming a single digital information processing system.
During firing tests, the upgraded Pechora ADMS conducted an air defence battle against small, low-flying targets – aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles. All air targets were hit, which confirmed in practice the improved tactical and technical characteristics of the ADMS following its extensive modernisation.
As a result of the modernisation, the detection radius, range and target engagement altitude, interference immunity of the system and other parameters have been significantly increased. The Pechora ADMS has acquired characteristics identical to those of the Pechora-2BM air defence missile system. And, importantly, the modernisation has significantly extended the service life of the vehicle.
Successful firing tests and commissioning of the system indicate that ALEVKURP JSC has gained another reliable partner. An agreement has already been reached with a foreign customer to supply several modernisation kits and expand areas of cooperation.
