Special Research Laboratory of Display Design Office Has a New Status
In March 2020, the special research laboratory of Display Design Office under the agreement with the Republican Unitary Enterprise Belarusian State Centre for Accreditation (BSCA) was granted the right to use the combined ILAC MRA mark of an accredited body in accordance with the scope of accreditation. This is evidence of its high competence and compliance with international requirements.
It should be noted that this production unit at the enterprise has been operating since 2003. It is intended for testing equipment for electromagnetic compatibility, special studies of information‑processing hardware for compliance with the requirements for data protection from leaks through compromising emanation channels and pickups (information security from enemy reconnaissance equipment), acceptance of computers used for work with state secrets.
Previously, the laboratory has been accredited by the Belarusian State Institute of Metrology (BelGIM) at the Operational and Analytical Centre under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus. In a semi‑anechoic chamber, there are conducted tests of our own products, as well as research of outside companies’ ones.
The laboratory is equipped with modern high‑tech hardware for product testing according to the Russian standards and the foreign MIL‑STD‑461 F(G) standart. Its mobility allows the personnel to test and measure products both in the laboratory’s screened chamber and on the territory of the customer. And defence companies, manufacturers of electronic equipment often resort to the services of the production unit when special studies and acceptance of computers are required for executive committees, organisations of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, military commissariats, the Belarusian Railway, etc. There were conducted tests of the SOVA system for the International Space Station in the interests of the customer. Based on the results of the research, recommendations were prepared for employees of the development institute to reduce the levels of industrial interference.
The capabilities of the laboratory allow the personnel to carry out the measurement of radiated and conducted electromagnetic interference, information signals (TEMPEST) in the frequency range from 10 Hz to 26.5 GHz, to determine their resistance to radio frequency electromagnetic field from 0.1 MHz to 6 GHz, conducted interference induced by radio frequency electromagnetic fields, electrostatic discharges up to 30 kV nanosecond impulse interference, microsecond impulse interference of high energy up to 4 kV, magnetic field of commercial frequency up to 1000 A/m, pulsed magnetic field, dynamic changes in the parameters of the supply network.
Also worth noting is that the design office is open to partnership. For specialists of the enterprise, it is always important and interesting to participate in new projects, targeted programmes and R&D.
